How to build your audience on Pinterest as a new blogger
For the past two years, I have worked and helped many bloggers to build their blogs and attract a new audience on Pinterest. Actually, Pinterest is their traffic source number one! So, it doesn’t matter if you are food, fashion, business blogger or in the coaching niche, Pinterest can be the gold mine for you! Here are my best tips on how to use Pinterest for your blog.
First – your Pinterest profile. It is important to set up a business Pinterest account and to use keywords in your business name. But the most important is what you will tell the people in your bio! This is not a place to talk about you, it is a place, where you should talk to your audience! So, instead of: “Hi! I am Deby and love fashion”, I would write something like: “I will show you how to create your own fashion style at an affordable price! Curious? More on the blog!”. As you can see here is the “call to action” message – you are telling the people how you can help them and what you want from them to do – to visit your blog and read more. Exactly what you want, right?
Second – attract the right audience. You don’t want to have useless traffic, you want to have targeted traffic of people who will love your blog. To attract your target audience, create your Pinterest content as boards, that will “talk” to them /again!/. Think outside the box and create niche boards. Instead of boards with names just “Fashion”, “Recipes” or “Business”, create boards named “Affordable Fashion Ideas”, “Quick and Easy Recipes” and “Building a Business Tips”. Sounds more helpful, right?

You need targeted traffic and sales! Pinterest can be a gold mine for your business, but you have to use it with the right strategy. And the strategy starts with the content creation process. Are you ready to take the next step and make Pinterest works for you now?
Third – your followers. On Pinterest is not important to have a large following of people. A better option is to have just a few followers who will be interested and will engage with your content, instead of tons of followers, who will not care about your content. That is why I never recommend following/unfollow action. This is a big No – No – it is just a waste of time. Instead of this, see the gurus in your niche and follow some of their followers, who can be interested in your content as well. Makes sense?
Fourth – the pinning. Here is the key to success. To have regular traffic to your blog, you will need to pin also regularly – every single day! But as a blogger, you have tons of work and you are not able to produce content every day. The solution is to create few pins for each of your blog posts and you will have “what to pin” every day. Don’t forget to repin other bloggers posts – helping each other to share and reshare will grow your blog for sure! Nobody likes spam, so if you only pin your posts, be sure you will be rejected as a spammer. Remember – resharing will help you to grow your audience!
